ADHD Evaluations

Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) Evaluation

ADHD testing is useful to adults and children who experience social and academic impairment. Some of the prominent ADHD symptoms are difficulty sustaining attention, making careless mistakes, poor follow through on tasks, poor organization, easily distracted, forgetful, misplacing things, fidgety or excessive movement and impulsivity.

The clinical evaluations of ADHD are comprehensive and multidimensional, so as to capture its impact on home, school/work, and social functioning.  This multi-method assessment approach involves the following: Self-report measures, comprehensive clinical interview for adults, parent and child interviews, parent- and teacher-completed child behavior rating scales, review of available prior school and medical records, and individually administered testing (IQ, educational achievement tests) or screening for learning disabilities.

At the completion of an evaluation, recommendations will be made that may include behavioral modification and management, accommodations for exams (FCAT, SAT, GRE, GMAT, MCAT, Bar exam), individual and family counseling and/or medication.
